Prime PBT/PET polyester blend, 55% short glass fiber, black. Heat stabilized and lubricated, injection molding grade. Bought for an automotive bracket program that the OEM discontinued; the purchase orders were canceled, leaving unused prime material in its original gaylord boxes. Very stiff and strong, often used to replace metal in brackets and structural parts. Holds its shape to 205°C (401°F) under load at 1.8 MPa. Absorbs far less moisture than glass-filled nylon, so dimensions and stiffness stay steady in humid conditions.
